Hey, I learned a long time ago how to make the fish look bigger! It measured 21.5 inches. This shot doesn’t look as good but it still looks pretty big in this pic! 🙂
This particular lake is just teeming with all kinds of life. You can see masses of them wiggling around while out paddling the lake. It seems there is something every square inch. There are also lots of salamanders swimming around near shore.
I went back up this weekend for three days trying to get a scale sample off a certain fish I call “gigantor” but alas was unable to hook anything. Think they are on to me now. I was able to snap a few pictures of the fish while they were hanging out next to shore, waiting for a meal I suppose. They didn’t want what I was offering. Will post a pic when I get back home to my computer.

The bull trout in those other lakes mentioned, are they off limits as well?Here in Eastern Washington if I remember correctly, bull trout are off limits, EXCEPT, from the mouth of Cougar Lake down the Lost River to Monument Creek. And they have to be 14 inches. Where the fish are it is rugged, rugged, rugged with no trail.
On another note, if I remember correctly, it is now illegal in the whole state to completely remove from the water any fish that isn’t legal to keep.

Guess that folder was misleading. That picture was actually taken back in April!

Biggest ( and only one ) I caught might have gone 10 inches. LOL

Brian, they are businessmen and orchardists from Brewster, Washington. I knew three of the four men quite well, two are recently deceased.
I don’t know the name of the packer that took them in there, but I have a pretty good idea. Sorry for the quality of the photo’s but I snapped a picture of them with my digital camera.Here are some pictures from the Hidden Lakes, Pasayten Wilderness. They were taken some time in the 50’s. I don’t advocate keeping this many fish, so don’t jump me please!
This one I also have on another thread, but hey, with all these great fish pictures, I can’t help myself. 😛
