Thank you for the nice words. I had a great time and could talk for hours. It’s probably a good thing they kick us out at 9:00 or I might still be there talking!
Looks good Tyler.
– PeteFunny – We just got one of those fishing post cards realtors send out and your new house was featured on it as SOLD!!!
For the door prizes, no one needs to tell me anything ahead of time. Just bring them to the social that night or get the item to me sometime before.
I’m one of the hordes who were not there so I can’t comment on content, but I see that Cottonwood Lk is misspelled in trip reports.
I vote for the 12th. The 5th I’ll be celebrating my 30th wedding anniversary in Victoria with my wife (goes without saying)
– PeteYou just squeeked in Michael! It will be done.
– PJohn and Jeff – you got ’em.
– PYou got it Bob.
Rodney you’re in. Happy hunting.
– PeteJed – Driving up the Frazier River Canyon is truly cool. Like any long drive that you do fairly often, you start doing it in chunks, mentaly, and have check points you look for. It then doesn’t seem as long. For me anyway. I use Sumas, Hope, Cashe Creek (DQ for lunch), Clinton (license at Parkies), 100 Mile House (Safeway for whatever last minutee food I need to get), and then lake #1.
Keith – I don’t worry about growley things at night any more with the camper.Hard shell makes you feel invincible.
Everyone should fall asleep listening to Loons at night. The sounds they make are hard to describe.I’ve got Rich and Jacob. Jacob – looks like your address is changed from whats in the roster in the members only section. I’m using the one you PM’d me.
Mike – for those coming up Sunday morning – including the breakfast makers – what time will the gate be opened? The same 6:00 time?
– PeteJune 5, 2012 at 5:06 pm in reply to: Grand Canyon Hike – S. Kaibab to Bright Angel – May 12, 2012 #96932Nice stuff, Rich. I was surprised at how clear the Colorado looks. It seems to me all the other pictures of it have it looking like chocolate milk. It’s supposed to be pretty cold also. Was it? I have to say that last picture is freaking me out just a little. 😯
Thanks Keith. Kathy – most of the time when you’re finally able to lead a fish into the net you’re reaching out and head on is the most direct. You have more “useable” space, length wise than you do sideways. If the fish doesn’t get in all the way it can often lever itself out by having its tail out of the bag. Does that make sense?
