ParticipantHey all,
There is an active search & rescue operation in Mount Rainier National Park. The missing person is Sam Dubal, an Indian American anthropology professor at UW, age 33, 5’9”, 160 lbs, black hair, short beard, distinctive glasses, and was thought to be wearing a blue North Face jacket. He was camping in the Ipsuit Creek area on Friday night and was expected to return on Saturday. According to a recent bulletin from the MRNP Ranger Station, Dubal was last known to be hiking the Mother Mountain Loop out of the Mowich Lake Trailhead. Please share with anyone you know who might have been in the area at the time. Contact Ranger Braun at matthew_braun@nps.gov or call the Tip Line at (253) 345-1363 if you have any info. Thank you!
