As of 5-12-16 the Forest service road to Duck and Goose Lakes west of Mineral Washington is in really bad shape.
Small 4 wheel drive high clearance vehicle or motorcycle required. About 4.5 miles road distance from the lakes at a (Y) wide intersection over a pass the road becomes deeply rutted, big rocks, dirt slides, heavily brush covered, with a very narrow washout along a steep bank. I did not go any farther, so I do not know what the rest of the road was like, the 1/2 mile hike down the road things looked a little better, but I ran out of time.
