I’m planning a trip out Lime Ridge next week for about 4 days starting July 14 or 15. Anyone interested in going let me know.

Sorry I missed this. I’m interested in getting up there sometime this summer, preferably after the bugs have died down.

Thanks, I really enjoyed reading about the Chikamin trip too, one of my fave spots in the ALW for sure.

Just an FYI regarding Lime Ridge. I ran into some unforseen problems. The footbridge that crosses the Suiattle is washed out. I hiked upstream and downstream looking for a footlog to no avail. The river was just a tad high to ford. After looking at my map I determined that there was a lower road that crossed the Suiattle and It looked like I could get up on Box Mt. that way. I hiked 4 miles back down to my truck (the last 3 miles of the Suiattle River road is closed, two washouts). The lower bridge was also washed out. It was getting late and I was all out of ideas. I went back up the trailhead and hiked up Sulfur Mt. There was no particular reason why I chose this spot as I don’t really no the area. Anyway, I stumbled down to the lake below Sulfur Mt. in a downpour in the dark. I hate to say it but I didn’t even fish the lake. It was pouring the next morning and I hiked out. After drying out I went to Paradise/Bench Lakes the next day.
I’m not sure how low the Suiattle gets late in the year. Maybe it could be forded in Sept. Hopefully someone else can shed a little light on this. -

I know of people who have gone in from Kennedy Hot Spring up to Firecreek Pass, then along Lime Ridge. – Mossback

Is the Kennedy HS area navigable after the big slide thing of 2003?
